What happens at the halving?
Every four years the amount of bitcoin that is mined every ten minutes gets cut in half. This is decreed not by a central authority but by the Bitcoin core code. Historically, halvings have been an important catalyst in pushing bitcoin towards a bull market.
This is because scarcity enhances value. Due to its limited supply, bitcoin will continue to become scarce. The next halving takes place in 2024, so we recommend having a long-term strategy and holding all your miners and coins at least until 2025.
